Wordless Wednesday - Trophy
| Love |
This is a photo I took last year, but on Monday night it won best print in B Grade at the photography Society I am a member of. It was totally unexpected, and very exciting! I even got a trophy!!
The judge for the night was Bruce Postle - The image Maker - you can see some of his amazing work here.
Two other of my photos came 2nd and 3rd in another category - but I didn't get a trophy for those :)

Photography
So I have decided to play a game of 'chicken' with my fear of failure, and just jump in and give it a go. If it doesn't work out, or if I decide it isn't for me, then at least I have tried, and won't live with the uncertainty of not knowing.
Today I built myself a website. Not complete yet by any means, but I am going to stop my perfectionism from getting in the way and let you know now that it is there. If I wait for it to be perfect, it may never happen!! If you want to go and have a look, you can find it here .
I was lucky enough recently to have some wonderful opportunities to do some photography. The first was to take a profile picture of the gorgeous Emma from Frog, Goose and Bear, you can find my picture over at Kidspot. Then I had the opportunity to photograph the Zimele Walkathon, and some of my photographs are on their facebook page. Finally, last week I had the opportunity to take photos of the gorgeous Sophia, and lots of the photos are soon to be hosted on my new Website.
And if you like what you see, and are in Melbourne looking for a photographer, feel free to get in touch!

Wordless Wednesday
This isn't my best photo, but just a snapshot of a moment in time. A snapshot of a time when I felt good as a mum, because I let my children take control.
They made their own pizzas.
There was mess, there was chaos, and most importantly there was fun.
I really enjoy taking a picture which is pretty ordinary and playing with it, to try and make it better.
I love that by creating different effects, and cropping a picture, you can give it a completely different feel.
I could do this all day.
If it wasn't for children, and washing, and tidying, and cleaning, and studying, and sleeping.
In other words, I have barely any time for this at all. But I love doing it.
